How can art your life improve

In an art-as-therapy session:

          Art
        • You learn to look at both art and your own life in a new way
        • You will receive the book Art As Therapy to further delve into the therapeutic effect of art

That art is important, most people agree on that. But giving an answer to the question "why then?" Is often not easy. At The School of Life we believe that one of the reasons that art matters lies in the therapeutic value it has.

Experience in a group session under the guidance of art historic Timea Andrea Lelik how art gives you a deeper understanding of yourself. How it lets your new worlds discover. How it comforts you, challenges, moves or laughs.

        How does it work?
The session starts with an introduction of the 7 functions of art from the book Art As Therapy. This is used for personal discussions, interactive assignments and reflective exercises to integrate the therapeutic aspects of art into your daily life.
Afterwards you get the book Art As Therapy/Art as a therapy to further deepen your home in the interest of art. And in yourself.

        About the book

Alain de Botton, founder of The School of Life, gives an answer to the "What is the sensor artist John Armstrong?" A fascinating and accessible book with 150 examples of the therapeutic value of art, architecture and design. De Botton states that the origin of a painting is not important, but the emotion it calls. On the basis of the themes of love, nature, money and politics, he shows how these art objects can guide, admonish and comfort us. How art can help us become a better version of ourselves. This book gives us a deeper understanding of art and of ourselves.
