Institut français d'Autriche
The Institut Français d’Autriche, founded in 1926, offers a space for cultural exchange between France and Austria. The five main goals of the institute are:
Teaching French as a foreign language through a wide range of courses aimed at all audiences. In addition to the language courses offered by the cultural institute, there are other options for Austrian students.
Imparting contemporary French culture and language as well as French ideas and cultural exchange through the promotion of French-speaking artists, filmmakers (Festival du Film Francophone in spring, Cinéfête film program for high school students, etc.), writers and cultural workers who are invited by the institute or supported by it at cultural events.
Information about France through a modern media library (with digital offerings) in a magical setting. Books and comics can either be read on site or borrowed.
Organization of discussions and exhibitions by young French artists who can convey their ideas in this intercultural forum.
Support for scientific and university cooperation in order to promote student and researcher mobility as well as the communication of scientific culture.
