Institut français d'Autriche

The Institut français d’Autriche is located at Praterstraße 38 in Vienna’s 2nd district. It is a member of a worldwide network of 96 cultural institutes that report to the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

Its mission: to spread the French language and culture, to organize meetings and through culture, education, innovation and knowledge to build lasting bridges between our two countries! Whether you are a pupil, student, academic, school director, artist or club member: the institute team is there for you to accept your projects.

To meet this requirement To do justice to this, the Institut français d'Autriche offers the following:

• A media library with an extensive collection of French-language works. The aim is to primarily highlight the tendencies, places and events that make up current events in France. A special room is dedicated to children.

• an information point (Campus France) to accompany students in the creation of a study or research project in France.

• A language center to obtain language certifications.

• Courses to learn or improve the French language.

• An extensive and varied cultural program for an audience of all ages.

In order to fulfill these tasks, the Institut français relies on numerous partners from institutions and associations throughout Austria as well as to companies that are essential for the visibility and success of the actions carried out.
