Farma v jeskyni
The international ensemble Farma v jeskyni was in the beginning a pioneer of physical theater in the Czech Republic and has since represented the country on 3 continents in more than 60 cities. The ensemble won numerous awards, including the European Award for New Theater Reality for Viliam Dočolomanský, Total Theater Award, Grand Prix Golden Laurel Wreath Award, Fringe First Award or the Alfréd Radok award.
The original work of Farma v jeskyn is known primarily for translating contemporary themes into the language of physical theater. The audience will recognize the typical signature of the ensemble: the unbridled energy of the performers, live music and the dynamics of every stage situation. Their choreographies embody important themes, create unforgettable images and a strong emotional connection with the audience.
Since 2018, Farma v jeskyna has been operating as a resident ensemble of the Center for Contemporary Art DOX, with which it shares the courage to express itself through art on burning topics and to transcend established boundaries of the cultural world. He does not hesitate to break the usual ways of thinking and open up new insights into what is happening in society and the understanding of individual art forms.
