A cynical grotesque about the clash of two generations.

“We thought the planet was going to derail because of us! But what happened? It rained three times and the wind came up one night.”

Two men meet in Chicago. They don't know each other. They had never seen each other before. Yet, for no apparent reason, a fight begins between them. A ruthless fight, without rules, a fight reminiscent of a boxing match, the ring of which becomes the dark corners of the entire city. A fight that spares no one. Not even the closest ones...

In the dark grotesque In the Jungle of Cities, Bertolt Brecht presents a picture of a society in which all relationships, including family ones, are subordinated to individual interests and market mechanisms. With expressive, almost delirious language, he presents the moments of apathy and loneliness that a person experiences in such a society. At the same time, it depicts a clash of generations, a clash which in recent years - without any deeper reflection - has increasingly defined the public debate.
