Being Balance – Institute for Traditional Tai Chi and Qigong: honors the timeless traditions of these ancient practices while integrating them into today’s modern lifestyle.
Tai Chi is more than slow-motion movement – it’s a fluid practice promoting calm, strength, and overall health; originally a martial art from 12th-century China. For those who want to go deeper, we offer the complete Wu Style Tai Chi curriculum: Hand Form-(Traditional 108), Sword, Saber, Spear, Pushing Hands, Free Form Fighting, and Internal Strength Training.
Qigong, a 2,000-year-old tradition, involves easy-to-learn postures and flowing movements. It’s the art of cultivating energy (Qi) through skilled practice (Gong) to enhance Health, Daily Energy, and Inner Balance. Our Qigong Exercise Class includes classic practices such as 8 Sections of Brocade and Tao Yin, as well as the rare practice of Korean Medical Qigong, which is specific to common ailments such as tightness or pain in the neck, shoulders, back, clearing the mind and stress, etc. Our Qigong Meditation Class offers meditation practices as taught by Grand Master Mantak Chia.
