In this new and experimental format of evening events we want to combine literary reading, theoretical reflection and shared conversation on central questions of the present.
The aim is to create a space for experiences and creative exchange of a performative, aesthetic and philosophical nature.
The first two evenings “Odyssey of Consciousness” are dedicated to the much discussed topic of “consciousness”.
It will, among other things, be about the controversial relationship between consciousness, body and brain and as well as the meaning of extra-ordinary states of consciousness or modes of experience and knowledge.
Thematic focus of this evening
Undine Eberlein and Somatic Stories I: Early Body Experience and Resonance
How do we encounter the world with our sensing, feeling body-body or how does it encounter us? How do we experience our first desire, how do we experience love even before we have a language for it? After reading excerpts from the first of five 'somatic love stories' from my novel project 'On the Recklessness of Starfish', we want to talk about these questions and experiences.
Other dates and topics:
🔸21. November 2025 | 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Somatic Stories II: Languages of Encounter with Undine Eberlein
'Between the body' interwoven and entangled with the material of the world and life, we encounter diverse figures of love 'on the go'. Experiences of its profound and transformative power as well as attempts to find a language for it are the topic of reading and shared conversation this evening.
Prices:
🔸Social price: 10.00 EUR
