Nebula + support: Johny Nasty Boots + Mother's Cake

Nebula + support: Johny Nasty Boots and Mother's Cake will perform on May 17, 2026 at Strahov 007.

Californian band Nebula returns stoner rock to its essence. Eddie Glass (ex-Fu Manchu) will bring tons of fuzz, psychedelia and desert dust to Prague's Seven. Gravity does not play a role here - the concert will offer a purely psychedelic trip into the depths of the seventies.

Nebula is a direct descendant of the cult Fu Manchu, from which guitarist Eddie Glass and drummer Ruben Romano split in 1997. While their parent formation bet on straightforward skate-rock, Nebula took the path of deeper experimentation with feedback and cosmic aesthetics. Their debut To the Center defined the sound of the genre at the turn of the millennium, and albums like Charged confirmed that few people can tame analog distortion as organically and spontaneously as these believers of dense riffs.

Their expression is based on thunderous riffs that evoke the image of Jimi Hendrix jamming with Black Sabbath halfway to Mars. The intimate and raw environment of the Strahov 007 club, which suits stoner rock exceptionally well, will offer a cross-section of discography full of hypnotic rhythms and endless solos. Whether it's Giant classics or material from recent years, Nebula confirms that their vision of rock'n'roll doesn't age, it just grows in intensity and rawness.

The evening will be opened by Johny Nasty Boots, a power trio from Lyon, France, which comes from the era when rock'n'roll was ruled by molten tube apparatus. Their take on heavy blues-rock is heavily influenced by Hendrix and early Cream, but presented with a modern ferocity and dirty sound. Johny Nasty Boots is not a retro revival, but a raw and energetic ride dominated by an honest groove and guitar heroism without unnecessary embellishments. The debut album recorded in the legendary studios in Los Angeles confirms that this trio has "vintage soul" deep under the skin.
