!! After two acclaimed albums and successful headline tours, Michèl von Wussow is back on stage in 2026 - with new songs in his luggage and his very own mix of emotional depth and loud indie sound. The Hamburg songwriter sings about trauma and comfort, about family and new beginnings - raw, approachable, direct. His third album is already being planned. With new songs but the usual energy, we're going on tour again in 2026. !!
To write texts in German and to open yourself up completely takes courage. Especially when the themes and emotions in the songs are more complex, often darker, than you're used to from traditional songwriters. But when you hear the intensity with which MICHÈL VON WUSSOW's voice cracks again and again when he sings, you immediately feel: This is different.
Because the young songwriter from Hamburg doesn't hide behind anything in his lyrics. On the contrary, he takes the first steps in overcoming his own trauma, sings about generational conflicts and builds musical monuments to the important people in his life. A record with more sincere lyrics in every line. Hope and trauma are the two big poles. “I am a person who experienced a lot of rubbish in my childhood and in the past, but still grew up with a lot of love,” says Michèl. He only released his first singles under his real name four years ago, and since then everything has taken off rapidly.
Hardly a month went by without concerts, songwriting or releases. In 2022, Olli Schulz became aware of his song Scar Heart, which Michèl had written for his mother. Thanks to the Fest & Fluschig playlist, the song reached thousands of listeners. Only a short time later, Michèl performed the song at Ina's night, and a few weeks later he and his band were invited to some of the biggest stages in the country. His first two headline tours were a complete success. In the middle of this, the debut album Fear Against Trust is also released. Just over a year and a half later, the second album Traum B will follow in 2024. “The lyrics on the second record in particular are different compared to the first - I express myself much more clearly and directly today, I'm really proud of that,” says Michèl.
The result is a forward-rushing, loud sound that is much more indie than pop, and would suit any modern UK songwriter from the suburbs of Newcastle or Manchester extremely well. The songs are always produced free of ballast and still offer numerous details.
