50 years of the Petržalka housing estate
In April 1973, the cornerstone of the "Petržalka Municipal Sector" was laid. From that moment on, heavy machines took control of Bratislava's right bank of the Danube and began leveling everything that stood in the way of the megalomaniac project to build a housing estate for 150,000 inhabitants, including the family homes of the old Petržalka. Martin Kleibl will tell you about what preceded the construction, how the project developed, how the construction itself took place and what life was like in the first years of the Petržalka housing estate.
