Beethoven, Chopin, Shostakovic and Bach - Championship piano compositions across centuries

in the Suk Hall of Rudolfin This colorful piano recital will offer listeners a journey across the three -century music - from Baroque to romanticism to 20th century. There will be two of the late Sonata Ludwig van Beethoven, which is one of the deepest of what has ever been created for the piano. Among them we will hear short but expressive rich compositions: the dreamy preludium Fryderyk Chopin, the playful miniatures of Dmitry Šostakovich and the famous spiritual melodies of Johann Sebastian Bach, known for example from Christmas concerts. The evening ends Beethoven Sonata C minor op. 111 - A work that many consider to be his musical farewell to the world and the peak of piano work.
