About event
The modern premiere of the stage performance based on sources from 1723
The coronation opera Sub Olea Pacis et Palma Virtutis (Under the Olive of Peace and the Palm of Virtue) by J.D. Zelenka represents the height of baroque flamboyance, intellectual depth and political symbolism. A festive melodrama written on the occasion of the coronation of the Habsburg Emperor Charles VI. King of Bohemia combines elements of opera, oratorio and baroque festive play in a unique way.
As the highlight of this year's season, Musica Florea will present the work in a stage production in Latin under the direction of historians Kateřina Bobková-Valentová and Hana Slačálková.
What will the current vision of musical allegory look like in a new direction and set? Don't miss it.
