About event
The modern premiere of the stage performance based on sources from 1723
The coronation opera Sub Olea Pacis et Palma Virtutis (Under the Olive of Peace and the Palm of Virtue) by J.D. Zelenka represents the height of baroque flamboyance, intellectual depth and political symbolism. A festive melodrama written on the occasion of the coronation of the Habsburg Emperor Charles VI. King of Bohemia combines the elements of opera, oratorio and baroque festive plays in a unique way.
As the highlight of its season this year, Musica Florea will present his completely new stage production under the direction of historians Kateřina Bobková-Valentová and Hana Slačálková.
What will the current vision of the musical allegory look like in the new direction and set? Don't miss it.
