Gartenstadtvisionen in Penzing - Architekturführung

Three projects, a common goal: to create spaces that are more than just places for living.

Industrialisierung brachte wachsende Städte, doch sie spaltete auch: Wohnraum hier, Grünraum dort. The garden city movement of the 19th century promised a balance - a life that unites urbanity and nature.

Vienna tells of this striving in three epochs: The Utopian settlement of Eden (1921), the visionary city of the child (1974) and the international sample settlement 9 = 12 (2007). Three projects, a common goal: to create rooms that are more than just places for living.
