Le Procès Goldman by Cédric Kahn
In April 1976, the second trial begins against Pierre Goldman, a radical left-wing activist who was tried in the first instance for four was sentenced to life imprisonment for armed robberies in which two pharmacists died. He protested his innocence in this latest case and within weeks became an icon of the intellectual left. The young lawyer Georges Kiejman takes over his defense. But their relationship soon becomes strained. The elusive and provocative Goldman risks the death penalty and makes the outcome of the trial uncertain.
The film provides an insight into the justice system before the abolition of the death penalty, supported by the extraordinary performance of Arieh Wortwalter, for which he 2024 with which César was awarded best actor.

Il clame son innocence dans this dernière affaire et devient en quelques semaines l’icône de la gauche intellectuelle. Georges Kiejman, young avocat, assures defense. Mais très vite, leurs rapports se tendent. Goldman, insatiable and provocateur, risk the pain capital and rend the issue of the process incertaine.
