Chopin_Sandová: Milostné preludium

Theatrical-dance interview from the letters of George Sandová and Fryderyk Chopin for actress, dancer and piano. A multi-genre production reflecting the fates of the Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin and the French writer George Sandová, whose stormy relationship marked the work and lives of both of them.

Fryderyk Chopin and George Sandová – two phenomena of artistic romanticism. The Polish composer lived most of his creative life in France, where he met the French writer and feminist George Sand (often referred to as Sand). Their unbalanced and emotionally charged relationship is documented by a series of letters, especially to Sandová Chopin, from which the author's text of our production is based. However, its form is not explicitly dramatic. It is a connection of all Chopin's preludes and Sandová's stage monologue about her relationship with Chopin. Both of them are present on stage, but they don't meet each other for the whole time. Three genre-disparate personalities - an actress, a dancer and a musician - meet on stage to lead a "mutual monologue".
