Vundabar

Vundabar is an American music group formed in 2012 in Boston, consisting of Brandon Hagen, Drew McDonald and Zack Abramo. The project originated from the members' previous collaboration during high school years and gradually established itself on the independent scene through concert activity and own recordings.

The debut album Antics was released in 2013 and was followed by the recording Gawk (2015), which contributed to the wider expansion of the band. In 2018, the group released the album Smell Smoke and in 2020 Either Light, on which the instrumentation was expanded to include synthesizers and other elements of electronic production.

Further development of the discography is represented by the album Devil for the Fire (2022) and the compilation Good Old (2022). During this period, the song Alien Blues from the album Gawk spread through social networks and streaming platforms, which led to a renewed interest in the audience.

In 2024-2025, the band gradually released new singles, such as I Got Cracked, Life Is a Movie and Spades, which heralded the release of the sixth studio album of the Surgery and Pleasure album, published on March 7, 2025. The record continues the previous work and summarizes the evolution of the group's style to date.

The band's current activities include the release of new singles, such as Death Punch (2026), and concert activities in North America and other regions. Vundabar continues to operate as an active project in the field of indie rock with elements of post-punk and other genre influences.
