Toyota Vangelis

Czech digital singer-songwriter who combines simulated acoustic sounds with electronics and digitally edited voice, and co-founder of Bastl Instruments and the music collective Future Jiskří performs under the stage name Toyota Vangelis.

"The Toyota Vangelis project is about finding my identity. That who I am. I don't think I can find it. But I can discover some imprints or indirectly retrospect what I have created. I think I make a lot of intuitive decisions when I'm creating. For example, I don't really like my natural voice position, which is very deep. On the record, however, I usually sing with the help of autotune processes an octave higher. When I sing with my voice, I don't feel like myself," says the musician himself about his project.
