Tomáš Průša Band

Tomáš Průša is a lyricist and singer moving on the border of genres associated with guitars – rock, folk, blues but also country, built on texts capable of reaching listeners with their authenticity and believability.

“Someone writes a diary, someone takes photos, someone paints. I write down my life experiences in texts. I started singing them when I learned to play the guitar a little. The first 'serious' text is from 1987, when I was still at school. It was a tramp's song and I played it to my friends on hikes." This entertainment gave rise to the folk project Máta, which had its first concert in 1993 in Tábor. In 2013, the band Rock Folk People was formed, then Andband. Tomáš Průša recorded an album with each of them. Since 2019, however, it has only been the Tomáš Průša Band, which also has a chamber form as a duo or trio.
