The Temperance Movement
The Temperance Movement is a British music group founded in 2011 in Scotland by singer Phil Campbell along with guitarists Luke Potashnick and Paul Sayer. The band has been profiled in the field of blues rock and hard rock since the beginning, and its members had experience of working in other musical groups before the creation of the project.
The first recording was the EP Pride (2012), which was followed by the debut album The Temperance Movement (2013). The band subsequently expanded their discography with the albums White Bear (2016) and A Deeper Cut (2018) and toured the UK, Europe and the US, including major stage appearances as the opening act for The Rolling Stones.
In 2020, the band went on hiatus after vocalist Phil Campbell left. In the following period, compilation and live recordings were released, for example Covers & Rarities (2021) and Caught On Stage: Live & Acoustic (2022), which summarize part of the band's work to date.
Activity resumed in 2024, when the group returned with almost the original line-up and announced concert activities. In 2025, she completed a tour of Great Britain and Europe and continued her previous concert activity after a break of several years.
