The Blackbird Quartet

Blackbird Quartet is a jazz project of singer Barbora Kafková and pianist Dušan Kovačevič. Each of the founding members brings their own musical influences and experiences to the project, from Barbara's side the traditional sound of a vocal jazz quartet, as on the recordings of Sarah Vaughan, Anita O'Day and Carmen McRae, and from Dušan's side also a traditional jazz sound and approach, as well as more modern harmonies and arrangements.

The Blackbird Quartet consists of Barbora Kafková (vocals), Dušan Kovačevič (piano), Bergur Fonsdal Johannesen (bass), Marek Urbanek (drums).
