Sto zvířat

The band Hundred Animals was founded in 1990 as a project of Jan Kalina (drums, vocals, music author) and Tomáš Belek (tenor saxophone, lyrics), who had just returned from the war and approached the singer Jana Jelínková. Together with other bandmates, they immediately became pioneers of the ska and rocksteady styles in our country. Jan Kalina died in August 2023, but the band continues to operate without him.

One Hundred Animals performed more than 1,200 concerts and festivals in the Czech Republic, dozens of concerts in Germany, France and Switzerland and a two-month tour of the USA. During their 20-year existence, they released 7 regular albums, DVD Jste normal? and have participated in countless compilations here and abroad. Over the years, Hundred Animals has become a staple of Czech rock clubs and summer festivals.
