Rest

Rest, real name Adam Chlpík, is a Czech rapper and MC who has been releasing under the Ty nikdy label since 2010. Despite the initial projects and attempts, Rest became widely known mainly thanks to the rap freestyle battles.

The first effort under the Ty nikdy label was the breakthrough record Premiéra, which completely produced by DJ Fatte. The Premiere was a huge success thanks to the beats, rap and themes, and Resto basically became one of the leading Czech rap performers overnight. Three years later, in October 2013, Premiéra was joined by the album Shards. Here, Rest teamed up again with DJ Fatt, who provided all the beats for the album. Shards begins exactly where Premiere ended and can thus be considered a collection of Rest's current thoughts and opinions. The next album Restart from 2018 was followed by several singles, one of which was e.g. Stamina (2021), which was joined in 2022 by his fourth studio album Tlak, a collaboration with DJ Witch.
