Progres 2

Progres 2 is a legendary rock group from Brno.

It was founded in 1968 under the original name The Progress Organization by musicians Zdeněk Kluka and Pavel Váně. According to the critics of the magazine Melodie, their very first LP Barnodaj became the record of 1972. The second LP, Mowglí, was already released under the group's "normalized" name - Barnodaj. In the times of the most rigid normalization, they stopped working for several years. They revived it under the new name Progres 2 in 1978, when they first presented the experimental audiovisual project Dialogue with the universe (the first Czechoslovak rock opera). They continued similar demanding projects on other albums (The Third Jungle Book, Mozek, Změna). At the moment, the band is again performing concerts all over the country.
