Nessi Gomes

Born in Guernsey to a Portuguese family, British singer-songwriter Nessi Gomes combines influences from both parts of her ethnicity, mixing traditional, emotional Fado folk music with British progressive modern inspiration. Although she spent most of her life in the Channel Islands, the turning point of her musical style came after six years spent in Central America. The years she lived far from her home shook her world and transformed her work. She moved away from the more obvious themes of love, loss and heartbreak and delved into a deeper exploration of her 'inner geography' and fears, insecurities, beauty and light. In October 2016, she released her debut album, Diamonds & Demons, to rave reviews and media attention across Europe and the UK.
