Munroe
Munroe is a two-member idiosyncratic rock band consisting of Jan Kunze and Vladimír Jaške.
The band was formed in 2014 due to an overpressure of musical ideas and an ambition to try something new and different from others. In the same year, their debut album From the Clear Sky (2014) was released, with the help of, for example, Kay Buriánek (Sunshine, Fvtvre) or producer Bernd Burgdorf from Los Angeles. Instrumental minimalism, black and white aesthetics, rawness referring to Jarmusch's film Dead Man and a bit of Jesenice voodoo, all this describes the eccentricity of this two-member formation. Munroe is tribal rock and roll, built on a distinctive riff, a shamanic groove, simplicity intertwining with mysterious sophistication.
In 2021, the duo released a new album Wild flowers, from which the single was the most striking Wolf minuet.
