Mucha

Mucha is a Brno-based pseudo-punk group formed around the singer-songwriter Nikola Mucha, who came to the attention of society with her indiscriminate performance, distinctive style and especially provocative lyrics celebrating male incompetence, gender injustice, various deviations, minority oppression, life in the Moravian metropolis and other woes and the pleasures of life. In addition to Nikola Mucha, who plays guitar and sings, the band currently consists of Petr Zavadil (guitar), Jakub Kočička (drums) and Ondřej Kyas (bass guitar).

The band has released several albums and Slovak Epic (2013), Josefene (2014), Nana (2016) and Tos posrals (2019). Probably the most famous composition that made the band famous is Ježíš. The song and its music video, which also features the actor Marek Daniel, refer to religious fanaticism and parody a video called < em>The kingdom of God is cooking.

Musically, Mucha is characterized by a hard guitar and the author's unmistakable voice. Most of the early works are typically fast-paced, but the newer ones also offer elements of the alternative, which are complemented by expansive texts touching on controversial social topics and problems.
