Moses Boyd

Moses Boyd is a jazz drummer who played a pivotal role in re-shaping the UK jazz sound, bringing it to sweaty dancefloors and a whole new generation. He fuses his classic training with grime and electronica, creating something proudly and unmistakably London. He chats his scene and his city and picks the tunes. He received a lot of attention with the single Stranger Than Fiction released under his own music label Exodus Records. In 2018 he released the EP Displaced Diaspora. As a double MOBO & Jazz FM Award winner, Boyd's live and studio collaborations are very diverse and range from tours with Sampha & Kelsey Lu to drums with Sons of Kemet's Mercury-nominated album to collaborations with Mura Masa and the South African Gqom king DJ Lag, who made it on Beyonce's official soundtrack for The Lion King.
