Mirek Kemel

Czech singer-songwriter Mirek Kemel sings his original songs and accompanies himself on accordion, guitar and ukulele. He mostly performs accompanied by a band which, in addition to himself, also consists of Vlastimil Konopiský, Tomáš Görtler, Petr Tichý and Petr Mikeš.

Mirek Kemel has been a musician since his youth, although his first album Krajem shel anděl em> was released only in 2011. Mirko's songwriting is serious and distinctly poetic. He is not afraid of portraying stories that often capture small life situations, and subsequently elaborates them into an existential and sometimes melancholic contemplation of the world. At the same time, he likes to help himself with strongly poetic animal metaphors.
