Markéta Riesová

He has been playing the dulcimer since he was seven years old. She comes from the Beskydy Mountains, folklore from the borders of Wallachia and Laška has accompanied her since she was a child. She gained experience in the folklore ensembles of Ostravica, Valašský voivode, Valášek and at international folklore festivals (e.g. Strážnice, Rožnovská valaška, Canary Islands, Sweden, and South Africa).

She studied dulcimer playing at the conservatory in Kroměříž. During her studies, she performed at the World Dulcimer Congresses (Lviv, Apennzell, Oberammergau) and won 2nd place in the International dulcimer competition in Valašské Meziříčí 2001. Since 2014, she has been a member of the dulcimer music of the Czech Philharmonic.
