Kurt Vile & The Violators

Kurt Vile is an American indie folk singer and guitarist who was a member of The War on Drugs from 2005–2009. He is currently accompanied by The Violaters, which consists of Jesse Trbovich, Rob Laakso and Kyle Spence. During his career, he managed to release eight records, of which the third, Childish Prodigy, released by Matador Records in 2009, shot him to the singing sky. His fourth record Smoke Ring for My Halo made the charts for the best albums of the year. It was followed by Wakin on a Pretty Daze (2013) and B'lieve I'm Goin Down... (2015). He released his latest album Bottle It In in 2018. The music magazine Full Monn Zine describes it: "Bottle It In" is the most visceral statement, sums up one review, a message about love, loss and everything in between, adds another, recorded during the last tour. The fragility of the statements is not lost in the opulent compositions, and they become the ideal soundtrack for road trippers on Road 66.”
