Kivi is the professional association of engineers in the Netherlands. We are committed to supporting engineers in their professional practice and the recognition of the value of their work. We help engineers make connections with research, education, society and of course also with each other. We also help to guarantee the quality of education and research, use the work and knowledge of engineers to be visible to social issues and the impact of technology on society. With this goal we work together with the technical business, knowledge institutions, higher education, government and foreign partners.

The technological developments are going very fast and now intervene on every aspect of daily life. More than ever, it is necessary for engineers to stay curious and creative. Intelligent systems and disruptive innovations are expected from them. There is also a great social responsibility with regard to sustainable design and creating and acting from a strong ethical awareness. For companies, there are often concrete challenges in how to maintain and increase the technical lead, keep good people interested, continuous professional development of their professionals, new technicians to get up to speed as quickly as possible and bringing in talent. Kivi helps them with this.
