KČD DAMU

The Department of Drama Theater.

provides talented interested parties for drama acting, direction and dramaturgy the necessary training for professional employment in theater and related stage fields. Thus, teaching is identical to the cultivation of talents and is realized in subjects that develop practical skills, even in subjects oriented to theory and history of scenic arts in the context of culture in general and media culture separately. The teaching is based on a generally accepted concept of modern drama, which represents a combination of mimic element with dramatic and in acting is therefore focused on creating characters and in all three specializations is based on the concept of drama as a peculiar art in which the scene and drama represent two aspects of the same phenomenon. Kč DAMU students are the only permanent set of Disk Repertoire Theater.
