Kakofon

Kakofon is an amateur mixed choir that was founded in 1996 as a quintet, but gradually grew to its current form with 18 singers under the direction of Dominik Fellner.

The choir's repertoire includes various genres – from classic spiritual songs to spirituals or gospels, from domestic and foreign folk songs to modern and jazz or from baroque compositions to modern and experimental. The choir usually sings a cappella and focuses on four-part and polyphonic pieces, including original arrangements by the choirmasters. After all, their three CDs are also in this musical spirit: Under the influence of... (2006) and Kakophone (2011) and Nadelenje ( 2019).
