Juha Mäki - Patola

Juha Mäki-Patola is a musician (composer) and producer working in Helsinki. He has been active in the Finnish music scene for over ten years, having been a member of several bands and working behind the scenes as a producer, musician and sound engineer specializing in recording, mixing and mastering for local and international artists from various genres. All of these experiences helped direct his vision towards the type of music he wished to compose and produce under his own name. Inspired by the great composers of modern classical music of the era, such as Jóhann Jóhannsson, Nils Frahm and Max Richter, as well as pioneering artists such as Brian Eno, Philip Glass and Arvo Pärt, Juha began to create introspective and brooding instrumental compositions that sought a specific calm – impressive but unhurried. Thanks to this, in 2020 he made his international debut fully formed with his debut solo album "Breath", released by Hush Hush Records (Seattle, USA). The album received widespread acclaim and attracted the attention of critics, journalists and fellow artists. Juha received numerous requests to collaborate on new material and in the following years released several collaborative and solo EPs and genre-crossing albums on labels such as Moderna Records (Canada) and Hush Hush Records (USA).
