Jazz Dock Orchestra

The Jazz Dock Orchestra project operates at the Jazz Dock club under the artistic direction of Jan Jirucha and Andy Schofield and regularly presents orchestral music based on a classic big band. The goal is both to enable famous compositions of jazz history to be heard again (Duke Elligton, Thad Jones, Mel Lewis, Gill Evans, Bob Brookmayer, Charles Mingus, etc.), but also, and especially, to cultivate one's own, original repertoire consisting of the best contemporary compositions Czech and foreign authors.
