Jan Kyncl

Jan Kyncl is a Czech tenor saxophonist.

In 2018, he graduated from the AMU in Prague with a master's degree in Saxophone – Jazz. In 2013 and 2014, he studied at the jazz department of the Hochschule für Musik in Leipzig, where his teachers were, among others, Johannes Enders and Richie Beirach.

He currently leads his own quartet. He also works as a permanent member of the bands Camoes House Band, Jan Smigmator and Friends and Tembryo and as a guest member of the Jazz Dock Orchestra, Concept Art Orchestra, Josef Vejvoda Sextet, Big Band Felix Slováček and others. In addition to his active musical activities, he cooperates with Czech Radio and the magazine Harmonie.
