Jakub König

Jakub König is a Czech artist, comic author, lyricist and songwriter. Since 1994, he has been the frontman of the band Giant Peach. He has also been on a solo track since 2011, when he created the Kittchen project. He also works as a singer and author of songs for the band Zvíře named Podzim. He is the recipient of 3 Anděl music awards (1x Kittchen, 2x Animal named Autumn).

In September 2023, Jakub released his first solo album Hvězdy at Animal Music, which was jointly produced by Petr Ostrouchov and Aid Kid. The genre-diverse record oscillates between dance electronica and psychedelic pop and offers several ways to deal with it live. In the band Hvězdy, with which Jakub performs, musicians from Jakub's previous projects meet, Tereza and Tomáš Obermajer (bass, drums), Ondřej Mataj (guitars, vocals) and Štěpán Růžička (keyboards, power station, vocals). The musical experience is enhanced visually by VJka Linda Arbanová's projections.
