Hello Marcel
At the beginning of 2017, Adam Sodomka and Michael Macek decided to try to make their first joint recording. Two friends who went to the same high school, one a saxophonist and a cartoonist, the other a newly awakened poet, discovered a discophilic and poetic synergy that they named Hello Marcel. A year later they released their first album. The songs Bűček and Naposled have become folklore of the independent scene. Their lyrics are dry and deep, the music is striking and soft, and all this is crossed by electrically precise rhythms.
The key point in the renewal of their specific musical disco-surrealism came at the beginning of 2020, when they released their second full-length studio album in a row album Hořák. They subsequently gained considerable attention by creating the soundtrack for the comedy series Banáni for Prima+. They also close this milestone year by completing and releasing the LP 2018-2023, which contains a selection of the best released songs and which is also released on a physical medium in the form of vinyl for the first time in their history. In addition, they collaborate with the non-profit organization Help pes, in the framework of which they create an awareness campaign that points out the ethical pitfalls of sedating dogs during New Year's celebrations. On this occasion, they release an eponymous recording called Jsem psjetej.
