Dvořák trio
Dvořák's trio unites three musicians - Ivo Kahánek, Jan Fišer and Tomáš Jamník. Under the original name Trio Concertino, the ensemble began to perform in its current composition already in 2004 at HAMU in Prague under the direction of professors Josef Chuchro, a former member of the Suk Trio, and Ivan Klánský, a member of the Guarneri Trio. In the same year, the group's first success came in the form of a victory at the 9th annual Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Interpretation Competition. In 2007, the ensemble received the Prize of the Czech Society for Chamber Music, which included a debut performance in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum in Prague.
The Dvořák Trio performs regularly on foreign stages. In past seasons, the ensemble toured Germany and Luxembourg, performed in a series of afternoon concerts at the Berlin Philharmonic, gave a recital in the cycle of the Society for Chamber Music at the Czech Philharmonic in the Dvořák Hall Rudolfina, performed with the PKF – Prague Philharmonia and the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic, or performed at the prestigious of the Dresdner Musikfestspiele. In the 2015/16 season, in cooperation with the German foundation Villa Musica, they began to devote themselves to the systematic education of young talents in the field of chamber music.
