Divadlo Polárka

Divadlo Polárka is a Brno theater for children and youth, operating since 1999. It focuses on creations for children and young audiences (high school and university students), either in the form of performances for schools or for the public.

With its dramaturgy, Polárka covers the spectrum of viewers, literally from newborns to adults - it is not about eclecticism, but about a holistic approach to the education of the viewer, his relationship to the theater and culture in general. Polárka defines itself as a "guide to theatrical adulthood", purposefully creating a relationship with scenic art in its audience within the framework of emerging performances and follow-up activities, teaching them to recognize real artistic quality and to consciously reflect it. At the same time, it is also about education in values, orientation in the world - through theater it is possible to discuss challenging but essential topics with children and young people in a feasible way.
