Divadlo Bez zábradlí was founded in 1990 by Karel Heřmánek, the director of the theater. The manager is his wife Hana Heřmánková. In 1998, the theater relocated from the Gong Theater to the Adria Palace, where it premiered almost two dozen successful titles, which were presented in hundreds of reruns.
