DFS Kytice
Children's folklore ensemble Kytice has been operating since 1994 in Prague - Letňany as a continuation of the adult ensemble of the same name. Currently, she works with more than sixty children from the youngest, five years old. The dancers are divided into three groups according to age and ability.
Kytice has dance bands, dances and songs from southern, central Bohemia and Chodsk in its repertoire. The folkloric material is selected, choreographed into strips with different themes and rehearsed with the dancers by the artistic director of the group, Milena Pitterová.
The music under the direction of Milena Kmentová-Pitterová, who prepares most of the musical arrangements and arrangements, includes musicians aged 9 and up up to 34 years of age, which combines an interest in folk music and an effort to create the best possible "working environment" for dancers. They created several independent thematic bands, with which they presented themselves at the Meeting of Folk Musicians festival.
During their existence, the group made countless performances. Spring and Christmas concerts for the public and for schools are already traditional. The ensemble regularly participates in folklore festivals in the Czech Republic and has also represented Czech folk culture abroad (Croatia, Poland, France).
