DFS Kremienok

About 1989, when several little girls and boys wanted to resemble real folk dancers, the group Krmeienok was founded. The children from the "older" children's folklore group Kremienok, whose founder was Miroslav Kapasný, were role models for young children. This troupe disappeared over time and the "smaller" dancers became the basis of a new children's folklore troupe with the same name Kremienok. And so, in addition to the first steps and elements, dances also began to be created: Krákuročky, Važecká svadba, Húska biela, Na Lucie, Pri potoku... During its current existence, the ensemble welcomed more than 600 Bratislava children aged 4 and up up to 17 years. Currently, 110 dancers work there.

From the beginning, they worked at the Children's and Youth Center, later at the Leisure Center on Štefániková Street. They practiced in the gymnasium of the primary school on Jelena Street. Since September 2002, the group has been working at the Church United School of St. Vincent de Paul in Bratislava-Ružinov on Bachova street and rehearse in their school gymnasium.

During their 35-year history, they have performed more than 700 performances in Slovakia, as well as in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Austria, Serbia, Macedonia, Italy, Greece and Spain. Mgr. Katarína Baginová.
