Deep Purple
Deep Purple is an English rock group that was founded in Hertford in 1968. In the creation of this group, there was a combination of classical music, which was mainly promoted by Jon Lord, and hard rock motifs, which were promoted by Ritchie Blackmore. The combination of these two types of music appealed to young listeners in the first half of the 70s. Deep Purple was one of the best rock bands at the time, and their best records and most famous and most successful concerts come from this period.
Together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, they are considered to be the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, although they never considered themselves a heavy metal band.
