Chameleons

Chameleons are a British band from the Greater Manchester area, formed in 1981 by musicians Mark Burgess, Reg Smithies, Dave Fielding and John Lever. The group entered the context of the post-punk scene of the 80s and released three studio albums in the first phase of its existence: Script of the Bridge (1983), What Does Anything Mean? Basically (1985) and Strange Times (1986).

After disbanding in 1987, the members devoted themselves to other projects and resumed activity in 2000, when the group released the album Why Call It Anything (2001). Subsequently, the activity was interrupted again and the project continued with different personnel variants.

The next renewal took place in 2021, when the group returned to activity under the original name and started concert activities and work on new material. In 2022, she released the live album Edge Sessions (Live from the Edge) and subsequently resumed concert activity in Europe and the US.

The group's current work includes the EP Where Are You? (2024) and other recordings from the same period, followed by the studio album Arctic Moon, which was announced for release in 2025 as the first full-length studio album after more than twenty years.
