Apollon Quartet

Apollon Quartet started its concert activities in 1993. It is one of the leading representatives of the Czech quartet school.

The tradition that the quartet follows was shaped by such ensembles as Vlach's or Janáček's quartet. The ensemble regularly performs at prestigious festivals at home and abroad, e.g. Bruckner Festival in Karlsruhe, Chamber Music Festival in Bolzano, Festival Mitte Europa, < em>Bregenz Contemporary Music Festival, Bergamo Chamber Music Festival, Salzburg Jazz Festival, etc. He also toured England, Japan, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Turkey, Sweden, France , United Arab Emirates and other countries. Since the beginning of its career, the quartet has included jazz compositions in its repertoire in addition to classical works.
