Alexandr Misko

Alexandr Misko is a Russian fingerstyle guitarist working in Germany. He started with the guitar at the age of 12 with a classical study, then independently devoted himself to the modern fingerstyle technique, which combines melody, bass line and rhythm in a solo performance. He first gained wider attention with the video Guitar + Pen Tapping Song published in 2015, followed by a viral adaptation of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, which reached tens of millions of views on social networks. Since then, his videos and recordings have gained a worldwide following and his YouTube channel has over a million subscribers.

He has several albums and recordings in his discography including The Songs of Adolescence (2016), Beyond the Box (2017), Roundtrip (2019), Covers and New Versions (2019-2020) and Take Your Time (2021). His repertoire includes both original compositions and arrangements of popular melodies in an instrumental fingerstyle concept.

Misko has performed internationally, including concerts in Europe and the USA, and in 2020 he played with harpist Alexander Boldachev at Carnegie Hall in New York. In 2018, he won the Guitarist of the Year award at the UK Guitar Show presented by MusicRadar magazine.

His latest release includes the single Umbrella Street (2026).
