Agnes Obel

Agnes Obel has built a unique position on the world music scene thanks to a unique combination of neoclassical, alternative pop, delicate electronics and melancholic songwriting. Her debut Philharmonics and subsequent album Aventine achieved platinum awards and established her as an artist who can reach a wide audience without compromising on artistic depth. Characteristic elements of her work are piano compositions, layered vocals and an emphasis on space, silence and emotion.

A key milestone in her career was the album Citizen of Glass (2016), which expanded her sound world with experimental electronics and non-traditional instruments.
