AREN'T YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?
Come with us to look into the realm of shadows. Not the fairytale ones, but the ones we carry inside.
In the circle, we support each other in discovering parts of ourselves that we overlook or don't want to see.
The shadows we carry are collected throughout our lives - many in childhood, some later.
Our mind, trying to protect us from pain, hides pieces of our self in the subconscious - every time we experience rejection or an unpleasant experience.
🪞 This is how our visible self shrinks - we begin to be limited by other people's opinions, views, emotions and habits.
🌑 But the shadow parts do not disappear. They stay inside us and pop out their horns just when we least expect it.
📖 In his book The Shadow Principle, Ruediger Dahlke describes the mechanics of shadows - and at the same time invites us to look into their eyes.
With the help of simple exercises from Dahlke's book, we will enlighten each other:
